Summer is sailing in, so make sure you sit back and appreciate the beauty of nature (and your hard work) in your garden. If you have flowering plants and are not using pesticides, you should notice an influx of winged insects this month, many of which will keep aphid infestations under control while also providing an essential pollinating service.

In between sunning yourself on a comfy seat, grab a pair of secateurs and deadhead any flowers that have gone over, as this will encourage the formation of new flowering buds on plants that repeat flower.
