Fine artist Sharon Lee Clark celebrates creativity and entrepreneurial spirit by inviting friends to her home for a high tea where ideas churn into reality and sipping is sophisticated.
Fine artist and interior designer Sharon Lee Clark doesn’t wait for leisure time to engage in celebration. She and her network of business-minded friends—all entrepreneurial women—find endless opportunities to toast creativity and community. Among Sharon’s latest achievements: a new studio dedicated to painting original artwork that honors her Korean heritage and a new category of miniature framed pieces that offer her art on a more giftable 8-inch scale.
Clockwise from opposite, top left Pyramid tea sachets in pastel spring packaging from Tea Forté sit on a bed of loose tea leaves. Artist and designer Sharon Lee Clark emphasizes Korean influences and symbols in her paintings. Tea sandwiches including lox-and-bagel bites and egg salad-and-chive wedges are served from vintage cake plates.Sharon's designs blanket her Highland Park, Texas, dining room-her "Pomegranate" pattern covers chairs and was made into a tablecloth.
The "Monkey and Tiger" design on the walls and linen draperies repeats on a napkin. Guests' names were written in calligraphy on custom place cards from Dempsey & Carroll. Previous pages Sharon finishes her mixed-media paintings with gold-leaf embellishments. Layers of pattern in her art and on her table bring her vision to fruition.
In the dining room of the Highland Park, Texas, home she shares with her husband, Max, and their two sons, Sharon hosted a high tea for friends as another expression of her creativity.
