Subodh Gupta's latest exhibition, 'The Way Home', exemplifies this journey. Returning to his birthplace of Bihar for his first museum solo in the region, Subodh embarks on a poignant exploration of his identity, delving into the essence of home and belonging.

This homecoming is a profoundly meaningful journey for the artist, marking his return to where his creative story began — in the railway town of Khagaul. “Exhibiting in Patna feels deeply personal and special for me,” says Subodh. “The audience and I speak the same language because we are connected spiritually, emotionally, and locally.” The works on display include everyday objects — milk pails, tiffin boxes, and kitchen utensils — that transcend their utilitarian purpose, becoming vessels of memory, identity, and transformation.
