"Because of my architectural background, I would often refer to an architectural sense of scale when designing products," laughs Priyanka Narula. Over time, however, the founder of The Wicker Story realised that their fearlessness for large-scale works actually became their strength and specialisation. Now, five years since her practice's pivot into product design with the Imli bench, The Wicker Story is known for their expansive installations and inventive fabrications, sculptures and furniture that have trailblazed a new design language for cane and rattan craft.
