Magari and Amaresh Anand Design unveil a nine-piece capsule where storytelling shapes timber, glass, and fabric into modern heirlooms

For almost two years, furniture house Magari and architect-designer Amaresh Anand, founder of Amaresh Anand Design (AAD), have been passing drawings, prototypes and lunchtime field notes back and forth. The conversation now arrives in a nine-piece furniture capsule that tracks Amaresh’s fascination with place, memory and proportion while showcasing the quiet precision of Magari’s workrooms. Visitors stepping into Magari’s Bengaluru experience centre first notice a table that seems to hold a moment of tropical dawn. Called Ibbani — Kannada for “dew drop” — the piece sets the tone for the new Magari × AAD collection. Slatted wood forms a precise lattice, while a fused-glass top softens every edge, catching the light so each slat appears beaded with morning dew.
