The powerhouse duo of Nisha Mathew Ghosh and Soumitro Ghosh, have been shaking up the architectural scene for over two decades, with their innovative and sustainable designs. Since founding their firm, Mathew & Ghosh Architects, in 1995, they have specialised in designing environmentally friendly and contextually responsive buildings, landscapes, and urban spaces. Having received many accolades over the years, they have become well-known for consistently producing some of the most innovative and sustainable designs in the field. One of their signature approaches is to use natural materials and locally sourced resources in their projects, which ensures that their designs are green and help to support the local economy. When asked about what drew them to architecture, Soumitro revealed that he was drawn to the idea of giving form and substance to memories and impressions, from a young age.
