THERE'S A CERTAIN magic to making the familiar feel new.

When designer Janie Molster first walked through the doors of this gracious Southern Colonial, a sense of déjà vu stopped her in her tracks. The property sits on the banks of Wappoo Creek, occupying the same land where one of her close friends had grown up. "She'd share stories about her home, surrounded by oaks dripping in Spanish moss," Molster recalls. It was a project that, from that first visit, felt like her story to tell.
