After another year of scandal and fall-outs, it's the question on everyone's lips: Which royals will King Charles invite to make the famous walk to St Mary Magdalene Church on Christmas morning? And who will be left out in the cold?

SANDRINGHAM WHO'S IN AND WHO'S OUT?!

PRINCESS ROYAL

Princess Anne does more public engagements than anyone else every year. That includes Sandringham, when she's usually accompanied by her husband, Sir Timothy Laurence, her son Peter Phillips and his two children, Savannah, 14, and Isla, 13, and of course, everyone's favourite down-to-earth royals - her daughter Zara Tindall, son-in-law Mike, and her grandchildren, Mia, 11, Lena, seven, and Lucas, four.

Sarah Ferguson made a triumphant return to the Sandringham Christmas morning walk in 2023, three decades after the 1992 ‘toe-sucking’ scandal saw her blacklisted. Alongside her ex-husband Andrew, she joined daughters Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie and their husbands Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi and Jack Brooksbank. It was billed as a comeback moment for Fergie.

imageBut it didn’t last. In 2024, Fergie stayed home with Andrew as the King allegedly requested him to keep a low profile, following fresh scrutiny over his links to a suspected Chinese spy. And while you'd be forgiven for losing track of the scandals dogging the beleaguered (former) duke, this year, Fergie’s own friendship with convicted paedophile Jeffrey Epstein also hit the spotlight.

A leaked email revealed she’d reportedly once referred to Epstein as a ‘supreme friend’ The revelation was a blow, particularly after her cosy appearances with King Charles at Royal Ascot this summer. The damage was worsened when the pair lost their titles, and Fergie once again finds herself out of favour.
