My journey of personal development started with a major challenge in my life when my 14 years of marriage ended in a tragic way. There were differences in the last five years as my wife's entire focus was on accumulating wealth and living a wealthy lifestyle, which was not practically possible with the salary I was getting in a private limited company as an administrative executive. During that time, I tried my best to rectify our relationship by purchasing jewellery, expensive dresses, and gifts for her and was also frequently taking her on vacation and fulfilling all the requirements of the household.
One day, my wife just disappeared without any information. On that day, I came to know that she and a boy were involved in a criminal case (registered in Bommanahalli police station): they had stolen jewellery from her sister's house. After that, both were absconding for 20 days to avoid arrest. It was then that I came to know that she had been friendly with that boy for the last five years. That was probably the reason behind our sexless marriage during that period.
The police were after me while they were trying to trace her (even though no case was filed against me, their follow-up with me was enough to frighten me). I felt helpless, depressed, and angry. Even though I was full of anger, I could not find a way out of this horrible emotional pain. I approached the police and expressed my pain. They called her and arranged for her to submit a letter mentioning that there would be no threat or harm to me either from her or her friends or relatives and that she would apply for divorce.
