CSMIA's passenger traffic surges to 12.7 million in Q3 2023, marking a remarkable recovery of 109% in comparison to pre-Covid figures

In Q3 2023, CSMIA recorded passenger traffic of over 12.7 million, marking a growth of 33% in passenger traffic compared to Q3 2022(9.6 M)and also observed a 109% recovery as compared to Q3 2019 (11.7 M).
A CSMIA witnessed over 60,860 domestic ATMs and approximately 20,440 international ATMs in this period.
15th September observed the highest single-day traffic of 1,58,209 passengers.
The passenger traffic from the top three international destinations surpassed 1.1 million, marking a remarkable 21% increase this quarter compared to 2022 (0.9 million) A London has replaced Singapore as 2nd most preferred international destination from CSMIA this quarter as compared to 2022.
Delhi, Bengaluru, and Chennai remain top 3 domestic destinations exceeding 3.24 million passenger count, showcasing a substantial surge of 31% this quarter in comparison to the 2.46 million recorded in 2022.

HAL signs MoU with UAC Russia to produce SJ-100 Aircraft
In one of the major developments, Hindustan Aeronautics Limited, the India Public Sector Undertaking (PSU) of Govt of India and Russian Public Joint Stock Company United Aircraft Corporation (PJSC-UAC) have signed a MoU for production of civil commuter aircraft SJ-100.
