Forget Instagram block brows. Celebrity brow artist Suman Jalaf explains the future of beauty tweaks is softer, subtler and almost impossible to detect

I've always been happy to leave the house with a bare face. Maybe just a quick swipe of lipstick on some days. But the one thing I refuse to compromise on - even when I'm only stepping out to run errands are perfectly filled-in brows. So much so, that I've been on the receiving end of microblading accusations for years, even though it's only ever been me, a Benefit brow pencil, and sheer conviction against the world.

That is, until I finally snagged that elusive appointment with celebrity brow artist Suman Jalaf earlier this year. I was curious about claims from loyalists that Jalaf is a brow whisperer, and a single appointment with her is a game changer. Her client list does span everyone from Deepika Padukone and Ananya Panday to Middle Eastern royalty, after all.

The UK-based artist - who divides her time between London, Dubai and Mumbai - is best-known for her mastery over semipermanent brow enhancement techniques like microblading and nano blading. Her signature? Restraint. She'll never overdo it.
