May - June 2023

A total of 4,320 visitors flocked to Palexpo to explore the exceptional gemstones and new releases showcased at GemGenève
-
The sixth edition of GemGenève, the trade show specifically designed for jewellery professionals and enthusiasts, which was also open to the public, concluded on 14 May 2023. A total of 4,320 visitors came to Palexpo, where the event was held, to explore the exceptional gemstones and new launches showcased at GemGenève.
While the exhibitors focused on conducting new business during the four-day event, the general public had the opportunity to delve deeper into the diverse aspects of the jewellery world. Out of the 4,320 visitors, 1,400 attended the trade show more than once, resulting in a total of 6,487 visits, exceeding the number of visits for the November 2022 edition by over 1000 (5,205 visits). These figures are particularly promising, considering the ongoing impact of the crisis in Ukraine.
The trade show brought together 192 professional dealers out of a total of 230 exhibitors, the highest number ever approved by the organizers, who aim to maintain a manageable size for the event. The exhibitors included the Designers at the Designer Vivarium, Emerging Talent & New Designers, schools, the Villa of Lost Arts, the exhibition by the Geneva Museum of Art and History (MAH) dedicated to automatons and music, the LetuBooks bookstore, and Gem Collectors Bookshops, among others. Additionally, laboratories and other trade show partners were also present.
