The pop star feels pretty damn happy about her new album, Bite Me. And about her relationship with fellow musician Towa Bird. And about her antics with her friend group. In fact, this might just be the happiest the 25-year-old has ever been, period.

Reneé Rapp doesn't believe in torture for the sake of art. “I was always under the impression that I had to be miserable to make good music,” she says. But since she started dating singer-songwriter Towa Bird in March 2024, she adds, “I've had more good days than I've ever had, and I've made music that's better than anything I've ever made.” The evidence is in her new album, Bite Me, full of pop bops with a raw, vulnerable edge.
