Last week's instalment saw the Doctor (Ncuti Gatwa) and Ruby (Millie Gibson) attempting to investigate the puzzle of Ruby's birth with the help of their friends at UNIT, only to be confronted by the release of an ancient evil, setting the scene for a high-stakes battle in this week's finale.
