Every item brought in to The Repair Shop is steeped in history and holds precious memories for its owner, but there’s an added significance to the heirlooms appearing in this week’s edition of the popular BBC1 show.

To mark the 75th anniversary of the HMT Empire Windrush arriving in Britain on 22 June 1948, presenter Jay Blades and his team of talented crafters will celebrate the contribution and achievements of the Windrush generation and their descendants with four very special fixes.

The Windrush generation arrived from Caribbean countries to undertake various jobs and help rebuild the UK after World War Two. How do you feel about commemorating their milestone anniversary on the show?
