Matty's TERROR!

Prison is no place for a lad like Matty Barton. Not only has he got a heart of gold and is to fighting what Eric Pollard is to go-go dancing, but he also happens to be transgender. In the village, that's fine and dandy, but in the big house, it leaves him with a target on his back.

So far, Moira's son has managed to keep his head down and avoid any nasty confrontations. But that all changes when Amy drops a clanger and outs him to a bully.

Ironically, this happens at a time when Matty - who's been wrongly charged with stabbing Samson - is daring to believe that everything is going to be OK. Last week, he decided to reveal the truth to his rock-hard cellmate, Les. It was a risky move, but one that has paid dividends.

Les doesn't give two hoots, and Matty now feels that he has an ally.
