American comedy maven Wendi McLendon-Covey is brimming with excitement about her latest project, workplace mockumentary St. Denis Medical, making its British debut.

'I'm thrilled that you guys are getting the show. I get messages all the time asking me when it's coming to the UK!' smiles the acclaimed actor, whose CV includes 2011 film Bridesmaids and hit US sitcom The Goldbergs (2013-23), as she joins TV Times for an exclusive video interview.

Beginning with a double bill on BBC1 this week, the 18-part series follows an eclectic but dedicated team of doctors, nurses and medical staff as they do their best not to lose their patience in an underfunded (fictional) hospital in Oregon that is overrun with patients.
