With a compelling trio of unlikely but amazing sleuths at its heart, combined with a picturesque backdrop, this whodunnit from Death in Paradise creator Robert Thorogood, based on his bestselling series of novels, is crime-drama gold.

Set in the Buckinghamshire town of Marlow, Samantha Bond plays spirited crossword-setter and retired archaeologist Judith Potts, who finds herself investigating the murder of her art-gallery owner neighbour, helped by plain-speaking dog walker Suzie Harris (Jo Martin) and organised vicar's wife Becks Starling (Cara Horgan).

One of Netflix's most-watched series to date, this thriller has everything you'd expect from a Harlan Coben adaptation, with ambiguous characters, cliffhangers and red herrings aplenty. Michelle Keegan gives a flawless performance as Maya Stern, an ex-Army captain who, after the brutal murder of her husband, Joe (Richard Armitage), installs a nanny cam at home to watch over her young daughter, Lily. Things take a twisty turn when the camera shows Joe visiting Lily - is Maya's mind playing tricks on her, or is something more sinister afoot? Look out for a scene-stealing Dame Joanna Lumley as Maya's sniffy mother-in-law.
