When the first run of Pete Wicks' moving fly-on-the-kennel-wall documentary For Dogs' Sake aired earlier this year, it led to a surge in adoption applications and donations to Dogs Trust, whose vital work he followed.

'That reaction was overwhelming. The series really shone a light on the dogs and the heroes helping them, the presenter, 36, tells TV & Satellite Week. 'I'm so proud. This is my passion!
