In 2022, an ambitious BBC1 series set out to monitor six of the planet's most under-threat ecosystems over the course of and this week, seven years Our Changing Planet returns for its first yearly update.

The first of two new episodes sees Chris Packham checking in on the impact of climate change in the Arctic, while Steve Backshall discovers new breakthroughs in coral research in the Maldives, and Liz Bonnin finds out how nature-based solutions are a hope to prevent wildfires in California.
