Another batch of 12 nervous bakers will be wielding their wooden spoons and firing up their food mixers as they enter the celebrated tent for the 16th series of C4's The Great British Bake Off.

As the contestants try to tantalise the taste buds of judges Dame Prue Leith and Paul Hollywood, hosts Alison Hammond and Noel Fielding will once more be on hand to offer a shoulder to cry on.
