As Season 1 ended, protagonist Nan St. George (Kristine Froseth) had sacrificed her passionate romance with Guy Thwarte (Matthew Broome) and tied the knot with Theo, the Duke of Tintagel (Guy Remmers), in order to protect her sister Jinny from an abusive marriage.
