Second Chance Love "We wanted to be a part of something that was feel-good," Matthew says of the show, now streaming on Hallmark+.

A snowstorm and a canceled flight in 2022 brought Rozonda “Chilli” Thomas and Matthew Lawrence into each other’s lives—and they soon bonded over their appreciation for family and travel as well as their similar senses of humor. After six months of friendship and long phone calls, the relationship “just naturally evolved,” Chilli says. Now the TLC singer, 54, and the Boy Meets World actor, 45, are going strong despite living in separate cities—she in Atlanta and he in Los Angeles—and are taking on their first professional project together, serving as cohosts of Second Chance Love, a reality series that gives five couples the chance to reconnect in Sardinia, Italy. The pair share what keeps their relationship fresh and what they still hope to achieve.

How did you first connect?

MATTHEW LAWRENCE We were in Connecticut working, and there was a snowstorm, so I had to fly through Atlanta, and she was on that flight. I was just a seat over in front and heard her giggling.

CHILLI Then I caught a glimpse of him laughing.
