THE BUSINESS OF BEAUTY

ROMITA MAZUMDAR FOUNDER FOXTALE

Foxtale was born from a personal need and a clear gap in the Indian skincare market. With a background in investment banking, Mumbai-based Romita Mazumdar wasn't from the beauty industry - she was just a consumer struggling to find products that truly worked for her skin. "The market lacked solutions that were effective, affordable, and tailored to Indian skin," she recalls. "That sparked a vision: Indian women deserve world-class skincare, made for them - not adapted to them."

imageFINDING THE NICHE

"The niche found us. Indian skin has unique needs - we deal with pollution, humidity, hormonal imbalances, and more. But most brands are created for a one-size-fits-all global audience. We listened to over 3,000 women, understood their struggles, and crafted solutions that were specific, not generic. That led us to build across skincare, body care, lip care, and fragrance - all designed for Indian skin."
