Managing your Mac apps is as easy as pie with help from Pieoneer

Use Mac apps differently

Your Mac's App Switcher is a pretty simple contraption - you fire it up with Cmd+Tab and can move left or right along its list of apps, changing to one of them when you let go of the keys. But what if there was a better, more feature-rich way to flip between your open apps?

imageThankfully, there is, and it’s enabled by an app called Pieoneer. As the name hints at, this puts a wheel-shaped pie menu at your fingertips. Just press its keyboard shortcut and the wheel appears, after which you can simply click the app you want to open from the pie menu. This can save you time because you don’t need to move along a list of apps just to get to the one you need - just click the one you want to open.

It doesn't stop there, either. Press a different keyboard shortcut and Pieoneer will surface dedicated shortcuts for the app you're currently using. It can also offer controls for music playback apps like Apple Music and Spotify, and there's an app launcher wheel that you can populate to quickly get started with all your favourite apps. All of it is punctuated by a set of delightful sounds, animations and haptic effects.
