Now that Launchpad has gone from macOS Tahoe, how can I choose which apps appear in the categories shown in Apps?
A In macOS Tahoe, click on the Apps icon to the right of Spotlight's search window and the categories used are set by their developer and baked into the Info.plist in each app as its LSApplicationCategoryType. Those listed as Utilities, for instance, have that set to public.app-category.utilities.
