Settling in to your new Mác home

For those who have opted to use Migration Assistant, then the bulk of the work involved in getting your new Mac up and running has been done. For those of you who have decided to migrate manually, there's going to be a bit of extra work but, generally, you're well on the way to enjoying your shiny new machine.

Before you ditch your old Mac or PC, though, spend some days (maybe weeks) ensuring that everything has been set up correctly. Although you've got a backup, you don't want to erase your old computer only to find that some vital files have somehow got lost in the migration process. You may also need your old Mac to authorise your new one.
