Smartphones make for great digital audio recorders but their built-in microphones are too small to offer high-fidelity capture of sound. RØDE is a pro audio company that has in recent years diversified into making high-quality audio products for videographers and others using mobile technology, or indeed top-end AV gear.

Available in black or white, the Wireless Micro is a more affordable sibling of the Wireless GO II system and consists of two transmitters and a receiver housed in a charging case. Apart from recharging the case, the system is wire-free. Build quality is excellent and the product has a premium feel.
