THE IRISH ROCK BAND HAS PLANTED ITS ROOTS ALONGSIDE SOME BIG NAMES IN MUSIC

To anyone else, the quiet road in Bray, Ireland, might seem unremarkable. But for Irish indie-rock girl band Florence Road, it was just special enough to name themselves after.

“You wouldn’t know walking past that it’s remarkable by any means,” bassist Ailbhe Barry told Rolling Stone. “But it’s meaningful to us.”

The four-piece – which also includes Lily Aron on vocals and guitar, Emma Brandon on guitar and Hannah Kelly on drums – has recently been far from home, opening for Australian band Royel Otis on the local leg of their global tour.
