The actress and activist, 58, has spent years redefining what it means to be true to oneself, and these days she’s doing it one barefaced moment at a time. In 2023, she famously ditched glam altogether following the death of her longtime makeup artist, Alexis Vogel, several years earlier — a decision that became a powerful symbol of self-acceptance. But for Anderson, it wasn’t about headlines. “It’s freeing,” she explained. “I spend a lot less time in a makeup chair!”
