Nearly 30 years since he declared “My mom and dad are gonna be so mad at me!” as Stu — a.k.a. one of the original Ghostface killers — in 1996’s Scream, Matthew Lillard is reprising his role in the latest installment of the hit slasher franchise (set for Feb. 27).
But first, the actor, 55, is tackling a real-life scare in Exact Sciences’ new Cologuard test campaign. “I personally have seen the ravages of cancer. It’s a horrible disease,” he tells Us of the Scream-themed ad to raise awareness for colon cancer screenings.
“At the end of the day, if this little spot can inspire people to get tested, that’s a win for humanity, [and] we need all the wins we can get right now.” Here’s more from Lillard on his upcoming projects.
