Priyanka Chopra Jonas sits down with Us to chat about motherhood, taking risks and following her dreams

When it comes to her success as an actress, businesswoman, mom and wife, Priyanka Chopra Jonas doesn’t have some top-secret formula. “It’s just hard work, not allowing yourself to stay under the glass ceiling and having the courage to keep pushing the envelope,” says the international star, 40, who welcomed daughter Malti with her husband of four years, musician Nick Jonas, 30, in January 2022. “It’s about wanting to evolve,” she adds, “and creating opportunities for yourself.”

Of course, Chopra Jonas — whose new spy series, Citadel, debuts on Prime Video on April 28 — doesn’t do it all alone. “The biggest treasure in my life is my community,” she shares. “My people — my friends and my family who support me and keep me grounded and remind me of what’s important.”

What does being a powerful woman mean to you?

PCJ You have to really know what matters to you and what’s non-negotiable. You can have everything, but you do need to prioritize some things. I have businesses, I act, I work in two different countries, but my priority is my family.
