Well, more regular, at least. Why A-listers like Jennifer Aniston, Katy Perry and Reese Witherspoon have moved on from superfamous fellow celebs to guys who fly under the radar

- ISABEL MOHAN

From Big Stars to Regular Joes

Aniston, Perry and Witherspoon are dating (respectively, from left) hypnotherapist Curtis, former Canadian Prime Minister Trudeau and financier Haarmann.

Bad boys are so yesterday. The latest dating trend sweeping the female midlife mogul set of Hollywood? Steady Eddies and Low-Key Larrys. Take Katy Perry. Her relationship history is all scarves, poetry and ego, in the form of superstars like Russell Brand, John Mayer and Orlando Bloom, the father of her daughter, Daisy, 5. So her new romance with former Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau raised plenty of eyebrows. After a tough time personally and professionally — backlash to her flight with Blue Origin and a lackluster Vegas residency left her feeling like what she calls a “human piñata” — the pop star, 41, seems to have opted for a more sensible choice. Sure, a legacy politician isn’t exactly Joe Six-Pack, but Trudeau, 53, who’s divorced with three kids of his own, is the kind of man you can contemplate splitting the school run with and rely on to sort the recycling properly — even if he does mansplain carbon policy on the way.

MARIO LOPEZ Bouncing Back

Mario Lopez has been working out most of his life, but at the age of 52, it's starting to catch up to him. “I've been getting injured consistently the last few years,” the Access Hollywood host tells Us. Although Lopez likes to play golf, he admittedly gravitates toward “very physical, explosive sports” like jujitsu and boxing, which Dr. John Layke of the Beverly Hills Plastic Surgery Group says “destroyed many of his joints” over time. Ultimately, the Saved by the Bell alum was forced to undergo multiple operations to repair his shoulders and bicep tendons, leaving him with limited mobility. Now, the dad of three turned to Proactive Longevity for therapeutic plasma exchange and stem cell therapy. “These treatments will allow me to strengthen my joints and continue doing what I love,” Lopez shares, “so I'm very excited about it.” He tells Us more.
