IT started with a kiss. Last October, when Kim Kardashian hosted Saturday Night Live, she and Pete Davidson briefly locked lips while playing Princess Jasmine and Aladdin in a sketch. "It was just a vibe," she admitted on the June 1 episode of Hulu's The Kardashians. "And I was like... maybe I just need to try something different. But Pete does not come to my afterparty. He does not give me the time of day." Determined, Kim called an SNL producer to get the comedian's digits and made the first move. "I wasn't even thinking like, 'Oh my God, I'm going to be in a relationship with him.' I was just thinking like, heard about this BDE, need to get out there, like, I need to just like, jump-start my... I was just basically DTF," she finally confessed, using NSFW acronyms about getting busy. Within days, they'd started dating.

Now, only eight months later, they're making big plans for their future. What started as a lust-filled fling in the wake of Kim's 2021 split from rapper Kanye West quickly and unexpectedly turned into something far more serious: People close to the couple are buzzing that Kim, 41, and Pete, 28, are engaged and already planning a wedding. "Pete did it the old-fashioned way. - he got down on one knee and presented a beautiful ring that apparently previously belonged to his grandma," a source tells Star. "He was really nervous, but Kim said yes right away. They both cried a lot of happy tears." She loves him and how he treats the children she shares with Kanye, 45: North, 9, Saint, 6, Chicago, 4, and 3-year-old Psalm. "Kim says Pete's passed the audition - her kids adore him," says the source."He's excited to keep getting to know them and be there however he's needed in the years ahead." But a wedding isn't all they have planned. The pair, says the source, "definitely want kids. Kim's got her heart set on at least two."
