Mackenzie Crook, Pearce Quigley and Michael Palin star in this heartwarming comedy.

The series was written by Mackenzie for his Detectorists costar Pearce, who plays eccentric Michael Sleep, who has lived a small life since his darling Clea disappeared seven years ago. Then one day his father Brian (Palin) gives him a recipe to create Homunculi, magical prophesying spirits who can see the future, in the hope they'll answer his questions. Along the way, Michael is helped by his workmate Kacey (Lauren Patel) who he bonds with over their dislike of their boss Gordon (Crook).

The set has moved to Birmingham, there's an outside barbecue area and new host Matt Tebbutt joins Monica Galetti and Marcus Wareing.
