Daughter reveals nightmare childhood

THE eldest daughter of Forrest Gump star Tom Hanks has revealed that her early life was like a very bitter box of chocolates as she suffered from confusion, violence and “deprivation.” In her scathing new book, The 10: A Memoir of Family and the Open Road, Elizabeth Ann “E.A.” Hanks says her life jumped the rails after Tom and her mom, Susan Dillingham, split in 1985 following seven years of marriage.

“I am a kid from the First (non-famous) Marriage,” she writes. “My only memories of my parents in the same place at the same time are [older brother] Colin’s high school graduation, then my high school graduation.

“I have one picture of me standing between my parents.”
