September 15, 2025
|National Enquirer
OTHERS who have three or more children are more likely to have either all boys or all girls than would be expected if the baby's gender was just a matter of chance, according to a new study.
-
Scientists at Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health evaluated the records of more than 58,000 American moms who gave birth to nearly 150,000 children between 1956 and 2015. The women were participants in the NIH-funded Nurses' Health Study. Although it's long been thought that a woman has a 50-50 chance of having a boy or girl, the Harvard scientists found that the baby's gender appears to be associated with certain specific factors, including maternal age, certain genes and the sexes of older siblings.
