TELLING THE STORY OF HEROIC WAR PHOTOGRAPHER LEE MILLER KATE WINSLET DAZZLES ON SCREEN AND OFF AT LONDON PREMIERE WITH CO-STAR ALEXANDER SKARSGARD

Kate Winslet is no stranger to playing strong and inspirational women, and her latest film, Lee, a biopic based on the life of model turned Second World War photographer Lee Miller, is no different.

Speaking to HELLO! at the London premiere last week, the star described the film, which she also co-produced, as "the biggest achievement in my working life so far". She plays the title character, "an unbelievably courageous, flawed middleaged woman, who got her US war accreditation and went to the front line".

The 48-year-old actress was joined by her on-screen husband Alexander Skarsgard, with the actor, who plays British surrealist artist Roland Penrose, matching Kate's chic black gown with a dapper suit.

The pair had an undeniable off-screen rapport: at one point, he leant over to kiss her while they spoke to the press.
