It's always good to make an effort when you're expecting royal visitors and an alpaca in Wales clearly got the memo, sporting a smart new haircut to greet the King and Queen.
The royal couple appeared delighted to meet the freshly sheared animal in a showcase of elements from the upcoming annual Brecon County Show, with Her Majesty giving it a gentle stroke and the King posing for photos.
An organic farmer himself who produces rare breeds of livestock on his land in Gloucestershire, His Majesty also met local food and drink producers and stopped to watch a sheep-shearing demonstration.
