Postal workers in Washington, D.C., show where they have been hurt by dogs

SAVAGE attacks on U.S. postal workers by pet dogs shockingly reached a seven-year high last year, with mail carriers seemingly taking their personal safety into their hands every time they approach a careless pet owner's home!

The Postal Service reported more than 6,000 canine attacks on postal workers during 2024 — a disturbing figure that is up 5 percent from the year before and 15 percent from 2022.

There has been an alarming average of five dog attacks per 100,000 households in the Midwest alone.

The states with the highest rates of canine attacks were Illinois, Iowa, Kansas, Missouri, Nebraska and Ohio.

But the city with the highest number of frightening attacks last year was Los Angeles.

The 2024 tally included a brutal takedown in Statesboro, Ga., in which a 36-year-old postal worker was mercilessly mauled by two beastly brutes and left bloodied and “completely nude” on a garage floor, although she later recovered after a hospital visit.
