Not at all. Love is a beautiful emotion, deep, fulfilling, and honest. It's only a waste of time if it turns obsessive or controlling. True love uplifts, not exhausts.

Both systems have their pros and cons. The real issue is not the method but the manner of implementation. Any system, ballot or EVM, can work flawlessly if conducted transparently and safeguarded against manipulation. Remember there was booth capturing reportedly happening in an earlier era and today we hear of alleged vote chori. So nothing is perfect.

How to know if someone is smart?

By their actions, of course. Words are cheap, but deeds have a solid resale value. If someone consistently does the right thing without making a song and dance about it, congratulations, you have spotted a smart human being, indeed a rarity.
