Gullak fame PALASH VASWANI shares glimpses of his chequered journey with TANISHA BHATTACHARYA

Palash Vaswani began his OTT journey in 2015 when he started working on the second season of the web series Permanent Roommates. He then went on to direct Zeroes, Awkward Conversations with Parents, Cheesecake - India’s first pet show, and then moved on to his most famous creations, Gullak season 2 and season 3.

In Cheesecake, he collaborated with one of the rising stars of OTT currently - Jitendra Kumar. Heaping tonnes of appreciation on the actor, Palash says, “Jitendra Kumar is a phenomenal actor, a good human being and a friend. When we were working on Cheesecake, there would always be a lot of notes attached to his copy of the script. He was so invested in his character that he used to have a lot of questions. It’s through his questions that I rediscovered his character Neel in the show. He has a big fan following, and the reason is that the audience feels he is one of us. That’s what he gives to the character - relatability.”
