HPE rewrites the rulebook for Al-ready infrastructure
December 2025
|Voice and Data
By recasting data centres as Al factories, HPE is reshaping how enterprises build secure, compliant, and scalable infrastructure for the Al era.
At HPE Discover 2025 in Barcelona, Hewlett Packard Enterprise signalled a decisive transformation in its role—from technology provider to principal architect of sovereign, AI-native infrastructure for enterprises and cloud service providers. Across keynotes, breakout sessions, and media briefings, the company laid out a new blueprint for AI-ready data centres: modular, compliant, intelligent, and tightly integrated across compute, networking, storage, security, and operations.
This shift is reinforced by HPE’s expanding partnerships with NVIDIA, AMD, Broadcom, CrowdStrike, and Fortanix, alongside a restructured partner ecosystem under the unified HPE Partner Ready Vantage programme. Together, they represent a comprehensive strategy to industrialise production of AI—treating data centres as “AI factories” capable of building, refining, and deploying intelligence at scale while preserving sovereignty and operational simplicity.
Antonio Neri, President and CEO of Hewlett Packard Enterprise, described this as a generational inflection point. “With the new AMD ‘Helios’ and our purpose-built HPE scale-up networking solution, we are providing our cloud service provider customers with faster deployments, greater flexibility, and reduced risk in how they scale AI computing in their businesses,” he said, underscoring the full-stack nature of HPE’s transformation.
SOVEREIGN DESIGN FOR NEXT-GEN AI FACTORIESHPE’s redefinition of the AI data centre is focused on the concept of the AI factory: a secure, sovereign, and scalable environment engineered to produce intelligence at an industrial scale. Two core components of this strategy were unveiled in Barcelona—the Al Factory Lab in Grenoble, France, built with NVIDIA, and a Private AI Lab in London, developed in partnership with Carbon3.ai.
