ELEKTROBIT, FOXCONN TEAM UP TO LAUNCH AI-POWERED EV PLATFORM

The two global companies are building EV.OS—a smart, AI-centric automotive software platform to simplify EV development and accelerate software-defined mobility.

In a significant move for the automotive world, German automotive software leader Elektrobit has announced a collaboration with Hon Hai Technology Group—better known as Foxconn—to co-develop a next-generation electric vehicle platform called EV.OS. The partnership was formalised through a joint development agreement signed on June 25.

This new platform aims to do more than just power cars—it seeks to redefine how electric vehicles are built, operated, and experienced. At the heart of EV.OS is a bold ambition: to make electric vehicles smarter, more adaptable, and more cost-effective for manufacturers and consumers alike.
