Still the SuperShow (August 5-8)

The Washington D.C. Fountain Pen SuperShow returned to the Marriott Fairview Park in Falls Church, Virginia the first week in August.

Attendees of the three-day public event enjoyed over 170 vendor tables of new and vintage writing instruments, inks, papers, and other ephemera from a dozen countries and half the 50 states. Highlights included a class by Taccia Chinkin artist Maeda Yasutaka; a scavenger hunt organized by Luxury Brands of America, Newton Pens, and Vanness Pens; free Hawaiian coffee with purchase from Kanilea Pen Co.; and special events such as Kenro Industries’ “Nib Wars,” a competition among four nib masters.
