In the evolving landscape of Indian humanities, Arup K. Chatterjee has emerged as a leading cultural historian and literary critic whose work challenges the boundary between academic rigour and public engagement. Born in Calcutta in 1986, educated at the University of Delhi and Jawaharlal Nehru University, and having been a fellow at universities in the United Kingdom and a visiting professor in the Kingdom of Denmark, Chatterjee is a Professor of English at O.P. Jindal Global University, where his scholarship consistently brings material culture, literary form, and historical memory into a single analytical frame.
