Among the most significant challenges was the ability of producers to market their livestock, whether commercial or breeding stock, in an increasingly unpredictable environment. While the sector once again demonstrated resilience, farmers and breeders navigated a complex mix of factors that influenced both production and marketing.The year began under the strain of rising economic pressures. Input costs surged beyond expectations, tightening margins for commercial and stud operations alike. For breeders, who rely on costly technologies such as embryo transfer and performance recording, this economic environment made profitability difficult to achieve.

Buyers, facing similar financial constraints, became more cautious and selective, resulting in conservative bidding at many auctions.
