In augmentation to its cause to build a discourse on sustainable architecture, Sustainable Design Collective (SDC), an initiative by Women of Design (WOD), hosted its first industry meet for the design and architectural fraternity in Bengaluru last month
-
Concerns over the depleting standards of business and the value of architecture have been presenting a particular challenge lately. Often, it becomes critical for the upcoming generation to understand and apply an ethical base to their designs and built environments.
With this goal in mind, the first meeting hosted in Bengaluru last month aimed to provide an overview of how the office design sector is currently approaching sustainability from both the built environment and workplace perspectives. Experts in the field gathered to address issues like the current problems faced by architects and allied professionals, what actions need to be taken, and key barriers to be changed? The meeting started with a glimpse of WOD and SDC’s initiative for all members.
