PRIME MINISTER Narendra Modi's National Logistics Policy (NLP) has given much hope to business and industry, which should turn more competitive with the seamless movement of goods that the NLP promises to ensure. Announcing the policy, the Prime Minister said that it would reduce agricultural wastage, improve last-mile connectivity and reduce logistics costs in India.
"The logistics sector is on the cusp of transformation from the present slow-paced traditional ways of working towards more agile and digital (ways).
The new policy will transform the way we look at our logistics, it will be a more cohesive, inclusive and ensure a more collaborative approach," says Sanjay Goyal, Senior Vice President, Supply Chain, Lite Bite Foods.
