Therefore, the primary goal of sustainable agriculture is to strike a harmonious balance between agricultural productivity and the responsible use of natural resources, mainly soil and water, to safeguard long-term soil health for sustained productivity. Sustainable practices aim to address a spectrum of challenges prevalent in Indian agriculture including soil degradation and water scarcity, by implementing more resilient and climate-change-ready farming practices.
